Staple Hill Band

A long established Salvation Army Brass Band located in Staple Hill, Bristol came to Mango and asked us to create a new brand identity in order to bring theirselves into the modern era. Staple Hill Band wanted us to create a design which was modern but also in keeping with the salvation army's rich heritage of tradition.

Using the traditional burgundy colour as a foundation of the design. We went with a monogram-based logo which described the sense of community and ensemble of the band, as well as the greater Salvation Army community. The use of serif fonts along with a flat vector design allowed a mix of new and traditional elements
